This is a print of a painting I create depicting rods and cones, the sight receptor cells found in the retina of the eye. To compose this painting, I took a row of the cells (inspired by TEM slides) and rotated them ninety degrees, and then reflected a mirror image of the same cells on the other side. The result is a soft, striking, feather-like pattern. It is perfect for any optometrist, ophthalmologist, or anatomy enthusiast.

ABOUT VECTORIZING
All sizes above 16x20 will be vectorized. Enlarging our prints without vectorizing can cause the print to look blurry or pixelated, since it’s usually painted at a smaller size. The vectorization process fixes that, however, it does slightly change the look of the painting. It is barely noticeable, especially at a distance, but we do like to make you aware so that you know exactly what you’re getting from us! Take a look at the last image in the gallery to see the difference between the two.

MUSEUM QUALITY
We use 100% cotton fiber, acid-free, lignin-free (polymer), and optical brightener (OBA) free paper.
TRUE TEXTURE
The paper has a similar feel to watercolor and fine art paper which adds a stunning quality to any print.

SHIPPING
How are the prints shipped?
All prints come in a clear plastic sleeve to ensure protection. 5x7, 8x10, and 11x14 prints will come attached to a cardboard backing within a stiff mailer attached and are mailed via USPS First Class Shipping. 16x20 prints will arrive in a tube. Flat boxes are available for 16x20 prints on request.
How long until I receive my print?
Processing Time: Standard orders will be processed and shipped in 3-5 business days. Orders placed with Express Shipping will be processed and shipping in 1-3 business days.

Standard Shipping - North America within 3-5 business days
If you need faster shipping, choose one of our Express Shipping options. Shipping time is in addition to production time, purchasing 2-day shipping does not guarantee your order will arrive in 48 hours. (If you need it even faster, or by a specific date, please reach out to us so we can do our best to accommodate!)

Are there customs or import taxes?
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
For orders in the EU and UK only, Our EU printer guarantees customs free delivery, is 100% carbon neutral, and the prints are the same high quality customers can expect from our Waunakee Studio.
Why did my order ship from Düsseldorf/London?
Because of increasing customs and import fees with international shipping, we have found a reliable printer in Euroupe that can ship our EU and UK orders with the same high quality as our prints from the U.S.
RETURNS
I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations.
• Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
• Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
• Request a cancellation within: 2 days of purchase
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for custom or personalized orders and digital downloads.
Conditions of Returns: Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
