This strikingly vibrant watercolor painting was commissioned by a general surgeon to celebrate the start of their career at a new hospital after graduating. The painting depicts the full gastrointestinal system including the larger structures like, the liver, stomach and intestines as well as smaller structures. It’s so enjoyable to be able to show these structures in such vibrant ways, bringing beauty to our sometimes less than beautiful insides!
