I have news. Up until this year, I took on commissioned prints, (rather than originals), almost exclusively. The benefit of this was two-fold: I could increase my inventory of original paintings, and it lowered the cost for you. But my inventory is now well-stocked and my queue has continuously been out of control over the past year. Many times last year I had to shut down commissions altogether. Not the ideal solution, when I so love to paint your passions!
So I'm changing things up. Starting in 2019, I'm going to be offering only original commissions, rather than prints. I'm so excited, and hoping you are too, with the idea of offering one-of-a-kind pieces of art to my customers.
With this plan, I hope that my queue reduces to a more manageable level. Less work is an odd thing too hope for, I know, but I only have so many hours in the day and only so many paintings I can finish before my fingers start cramping! (Not to mention three kids to feed and bathe and keep alive and all that). Additionally, with more time, I'll be able to focus not only on creating the most amazing paintings for the commissions you request, but also I may finally have time to work on my own creations again. Stay tuned for more on this!
As for the actual product, all pieces will be painted on high-quality 300gsm watercolor paper. I vary between cold press and hot press, depending on the subject matter. The paintings will come matted in a high-quality archival white mat and signed in pencil. If you're interested in a commission, don't hesitate to reach out!
