This ethereal looking print set shows the bile duct and the hepatic duct. I absolutely love how the negative space in the hepatic duct looks like a heart and the bile duct looks like a geode. It’s beautiful to find absolute beauty in our bodies where we wouldn’t think to look. Both ducts are located in the biliary system which is the system made up of ducts that make and store bile. The common bile duct begins where a duct from the gallbladder joins the right and left hepatic ducts. Bile is so important to be carried throughout these systems in order to break down fats and proteins during digestion.
